How to get to your hotel in Koh Phi Phi

When planning your journey to Koh Phi Phi, it’s important to consider your hotel location, as some hotels and resorts are situated in more isolated areas. Please also note that there is no motorised transportation on the island other than boats (no cars, no motorbikes).

Here are the estimated travel times to Koh Phi Phi’s main areas:

• Tonsai or Loh Dalum Area: Most hotels are within walking distance from the pier. Some hotels provide bellboys to assist with luggage on arrival. Look for hotel signs when walking along the pier.
• Long Beach: Requires a boat ride of approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Most resorts usually provide hotel transfers on the arrival day, but it is recommended to confirm details and schedules directly with your hotel reception.
• Phak Nam Bay: Home to hotels such as Relax Beach and The Cove. Accessible only by boat, with a travel time of around 20–25 minutes by longtail boat from the pier.
• Loh Ba Kao Bay: Hotels such as SAii and Centara are located in this area. Approximately a 30-minute boat ride from the pier. Hotel transfers are usually not provided, so guests should confirm with their hotel reception how to arrange their own transportation.
• Laem Tong Bay: Hotels such as Holiday Inn, P.P. Erawan Palms Resort, and Phi Phi Natural Resort are located in the northern area of the island. Travel time is approximately 40–50 minutes by boat. Guests should confirm with their hotel reception how to arrange their own transportation.
